Brazilian chocolate fudge bomb.

Ingredients

  • 335 g (heaped 1 c) sweetened condensed milk
  • 100 g (7 Tbsp) unsalted butter
  • 25 g (1/4 c + 1 Tbsp) cocoa powder
  • 300 g chocolate sprinkles

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the sweetened condensed milk, butter, and cocoa powder, stir to combine, and continue stirring for 7 to 8 minutes until the mixture becomes thick and concentrated in the middle of the pan.
  2. Once a thick, fudge-like consistency has been reached and the mixture is not touching the sides of the pan, transfer to a plate and let it rest for 10 minutes. Next, cover with plastic wrap (it's okay if it is still hot, the plastic wrap will not affect it) and place in the fridge for 45 minutes.
  3. In a small bowl add the chocolate sprinkles.
  4. After the resting period, remove the plastic wrap and scoop some of the mixture into your hands to form into the size of a golf ball. Aim to make about 14 balls from this mixture. Roll each ball in the sprinkles so that the whole brigadeiro is covered and enjoy immediately or freeze for up to 2 weeks for later!
