Hummus

Yields: 10 servings

Easy homemade hummus. We usually double the recipe. Take the spices just as a suggestion, you can change them or add some herbs to try out different flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas (16oz), drained and rinsed
  • 3 tbsp tahini
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/8 cup water
  • 1 ice cube
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled and with the little hard end removed
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Add everything to a food processor. Pulse a few times, then blend until smooth.
  2. Unplug the food processor and check the taste. You might want to add more salt, lemon juice, pepper, or garlic powder to get the taste just right. Blend thoroughly after adding any ingredients before checking again.
